The opening credits show various photographic and painted vistas and landmarks of Oklahoma inserted into the landscape of New York City: A statue of the Sioux Indian chief “Touch the Clouds” wearing a war bonnet and bone breastplate inserted on the Brooklyn Bridge. The Western Gateway Arch of Route 66 inserted on one of Manhattan’s major “avenues”. In New York City, in the borough of Manhattan, there are several numbered “avenues”.

I’ve loved “Tulsa King” so far

which are interspersed with smaller numbered streets.. Seen on CBS News Sunday Morning: Episode #45.7 (2022). I actually love everything Taylor Sheridan does, so I knew this would be no different.

This is a fun crime series that knows exactly what it wants to be, and you can tell the cast, led by Sylvester Stallone, are all having a blast filming. It’s about a New York mob boss named Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Stallone) who is released from prison after 25 years. After not feeling the love from his gang that he deserves, he starts building his own in Tulsa.

The show is clearly doing well, as it has already been renewed for a second season, which is great news!

Some of it may come across as a little silly, but overall it’s a really good series that’s definitely worth watching. Check out our rundown of Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2, Squid Game Season 2, and more of the highly anticipated new and returning series coming to TV and streaming.
