Tale
A struggling writer finds herself at the center of her story when she is brutally attacked by a notorious cult leader and mass murderer, a man who inexplicably controls his followers. The movie starts strong, and then the intrigue starts to build. I was expecting momentum building, but the director/writer had other things in mind. I thought maybe it was designed to be a slow burner. But it turned out to be too slow and boring. We all looked at our watches to see which was slower…the movie or the watch. The film dies with a winner that leaves you completely unsatisfied. The weakness is in the story. Could have been a truly unique film. What a missed opportunity The film does not live up to the expectations created by the trailer. The interest was to know about the cult. And it was never given except for one sentence. Skip the movie.
